Excellent job.very friendly staff..thanks for helping

I’m confused on why this shop has got good reviews…. I found Tony to be unprofessional & asking me personal questions. As I’m new to the area I stupidly agreed to get my trousers altered as he offered a cheaper price & said no one would do them better or with the quality he provided.

On returning to collect my trousers they have been cut unevenly & are shorter at the back than the front.

There was/is no quality tin his work & incredibly shoddy. I found another seamstress STITCH IN TIME which I highly recommend. Luckily the 2 pairs of trousers are just about salvageable.

Very disappointed this is not great service.

Five star stitches in Chelmsford are brilliant. I have been using them for years. Great service and I am always happy with their work. Tony is extremely helpful and polite. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs tailoring and alterations.

I always use 5 star stitches for alterations. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

I needed some trousers taking up and a dress altered at the shoulders, they did an excellent job. Collected them three hours later, am really pleased.

Put a suit in for shortening sleeves and shortening trousers. When I collected it, the lining of suit sleeves had too much material inside. So when you put your arm in, your hand pushed the lining out at the end of the sleeve. Had to be redone. Still wasn’t happy with one of the arms.

The trouser were taken up too much, so had to be lengthened again.

Still wasn’t happy with the end result, but couldn’t leave it there any longer as I need to wear it one day later.

It’s the first I’ve been to this shop and it will be my last.

Highly recommend. Friendly staff wanted a pair of trousers taken up they were ready within a hour. Excellent Service will definitely be using again Thank You

Being the person I am I left getting my bridesmaid dress to last minute -not only did I purchased it late but needed it altered for the next day too; LUCKILY they were able to alter it and have me pick it up in hours! Super speedy and beautifully done. Would 100% recommend.

I had a last-minute event and realised my outfit needed size adjustments. I went in to ask if the alteration could be done on such short notice, same day for next-day wear. Tony was hilarious and incredibly accommodating. Speedy work and Absolute lifesavers! I’m so grateful, thank you so much. My outfit is now perfect!

My Wool Barbour field coat needed new pocket liners and Barbour only repair wax jackets, so were unable to help.

I took it into 5 star stitches and they carried out the most amazing repair. The coat is now like new and the pocket liners are strong and the coat will last for many years to come.

The cost was very reasonable and I really appreciate the superb workmanship.

I have dwarfism and have never had a suit fit me properly. However, 5 star stitches made it happen! I’m so happy with my tuxedo. They not only did an excellent job with the tuxedo, but were very friendly and accommodating people.
